On humanitarian grounds, we are reaching out with an urgent appeal to support Ghulam Hyder and his family, who are facing an extremely difficult and heartbreaking situation in Edmonton, Canada.
Ghulam Hyder is currently living in Edmonton with his family. Due to prolonged processing delays in his work permit application, he has been unable to work for over a year. During this time, he has exhausted his savings and borrowed money from friends and relatives just to cover basic living expenses, while also hiring a lawyer to pursue his immigration case.
On January 14, 2026, Ghulam Hyder’s wife gave birth at Misericordia Hospital, Edmonton. Tragically, their newborn baby is in the ICU, and his wife remains hospitalized. The family is now facing hospital expenses of approximately $15,000 per day, an amount that is far beyond their financial capacity.
Because of their immigration status, the family does not qualify for government health coverage or financial assistance. Despite reaching out to multiple social and humanitarian organizations, no support has been available so far. All personal resources have been exhausted.
This is an urgent humanitarian crisis. We are appealing to our community, friends, and well-wishers to come together and support this family during this critical time. Any contribution—small or large—can help cover medical expenses and provide much-needed relief to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the newborn baby and the mother.
Let us stand together in compassion and humanity to help a family in distress. Your generosity can make a life-saving difference.
May God reward you abundantly for your kindness and support.
