Hi everyone, my name is Corey, and I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart to ask for help for my mother, Cynthia Rodriguez. Most of you know her as Cindy.

Due to an administrative error from her management company, there has been a sudden increase in her rent and a claim of a substantial past due balance from previous months. We just received the devastating news that she is facing eviction and has only 30 days to pay the balance. She has lived in her home for over 25 years and never had any issues until this new management company came in recently.

My mother has always been a hard worker, but her health issues make it impossible to catch up on her own. We are doing everything we can as a family, but we are short of the total needed to secure her housing and prevent her from becoming homeless.

Our goal of $7,500 will go directly toward either:

• Paying the back-rent and legal fees to hire an attorney, to not only stop the eviction but prevent this from happening again to not just my mother but the several other families that this management company is attempting to evict alongside her.

Or

• Covering her moving expenses to get her into a more affordable living situation and hire an attorney to do the aforementioned.
