Support Carlos in his recovery journey

Carlos Agudelo is a beloved father, husband, grandfather, uncle and a key figure in our family. I write this post for my Tio Carlos on behalf of and in collaboration with his daughters, Anggy Agudelo & Luz Agudelo.

My Tio recently suffered heart failure and has been in the hospital fighting every day for a full recovery and to return home to his family. These unexpected health issues resulted in him being hospitalized for weeks this past September. Again finding himself back in the hospital in November after a short stint of him returning home with his wife, daughters, and granddaughter. In November, he had to undergo emergency heart surgery and came out of the operation in critical condition. He’s been hospitalized, slowly regaining his strength to breathe and speak. He is still frail, and doctors have warned that his recovery journey will be long, likely leading to a possible heart transplant once he is strong enough and eligible.

My Tio was not fortunate enough to have a substantial health insurance plan that could have prepared him and his family for this enormous financial burden. The Agudelo family has been working through endless red tape and insurance paperwork to scrape up whatever is possible to cover the hospital bills, but this is where I hope folks can donate to this cause and support my family in this highly stressful time. Anything you can spare would make a world of difference.
