My name is Lisa Crocker, and I am

urgently requesting emergency financial assistance for life-saving orthopedic surgery.

I am currently in the Dominican Republic and have suffered a catastrophic injury involving a broken hip and femur, resulting in my leg being effectively detached from the hip due to non-union. This is my third major femur-related injury in the past 14 months.

In November 2024, I suffered a serious fall in my home that resulted in a femur fracture requiring surgical intervention and the insertion of an intramedullary rod. After months of recovery, the rod re-fractured six months later while I was in the Dominican Republic, requiring a second surgery to remove and replace the hardware.

Unfortunately, due to undiagnosed osteoporosis, my bones failed to heal properly. I have now suffered a third and most severe injury: a broken hip and femur with hardware failure and non-union. I have been advised that I require an urgent total hip replacement and complex reconstructive surgery in order to walk again and to prevent further life-threatening complications.

I have no health insurance, no financial resources, and no immediate support system able to assist me. I am currently immobilized and at significant risk for serious complications including blood clots, infection, and permanent disability if treatment is delayed.

This is a medical emergency. Without surgery, my condition may become fatal or permanently disabling.
