Help Bring my fiance, the Love of My Life Home
My fiance (my wife) Yamile, was recently taken into custody by ICE. She came to the United States from Cuba 25 years ago through the Visa Lottery, legally immigrating with her mother and brother—her entire family.
In 2008, like many of us when we were young, she made a small mistake. She paid her debt to society and, for the past 17 years, has lived as a devoted, law-abiding family woman. She goes to work every day, contributes to her community, and has had no legal troubles since.
Now, in the midst of mass roundups of Cuban immigrants—many of whom are not even being given due process—she has been detained and is currently being held at an ICE detention center in Jacksonville and now they moved her to Louisiana.
I urgently need to hire an immigration attorney to fight for her release and bring her home. As a small family business owner just getting started, this situation is financially devastating for us.
It breaks my heart to ask for help, but I am humbly reaching out during the most difficult time of my life. This woman is my rock, my everything, and I will do whatever it takes to bring her back.
All the donations, and money’s donated will go towards paying all of her expenses from legal fees to keeping her alive while she’s in detention and well fed and clothed all of her commissary. Also paying her bills at home keeping her car insurance and everything up-to-date, paying her phone bill Paying for the dogs. Her dogs. She is half of the household income and it’s now gone that’s why we need this help because it’s overwhelming, and I cannot do it by myself.
She is my fiancé. She is the love of my life. She is my best friend we live together and I want to continue living with her for the rest of our lives. We need your help to keep Yyami and get her back home safely.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all our friends and family who continue to support us. Your prayers, love, and generosity mean the world.
God bless.
