TL;DR: A truly incredible human has been pummeled with emergencies and life events one after another. She is breaking her back trying to make ends meet. She has supported our community for years and years and I'd love to help her get some support in return.

Our incredible friend Jasmine is an absolute light in the lives of her friends, family, and community. She has spent countless hours and thousands of dollars of her own money supporting mutual aid causes, particularly harm reduction. She has poured her soul into keeping our community safe and healthy, providing education, resources, and unbridled compassion to so many of our most marginalized neighbors.

Jasmine has been hit unimaginably hard over the past couple of months. She had to drop everything and travel across the country to provide medical care and advocacy for a family member who unexpectedly fell critically ill. This included discharge planning, medication management, finding sources of coverage/funding, and a thousand other stressors (not to mention the emotional toll of watching your loved one fight for their life). She has had to navigate her own health conditions during this time, which has been complicated by insurance issues and being repeatedly misdiagnosed. Jasmine has been working every day to find other sources of income and debt relief, but she is exhausted and in an increasingly urgent financial situation. Through all of this, she has been consistently supportive of the people around her and has continued to show up for our mutual aid organization in a multitude of ways.

Now, it's our turn to give back a small portion of what she has given us. Five dollars - literally! - could be the difference between going hungry one day and not. I am begging you to give if you can and help this sweet, beautiful human out of a situation that isn't her fault. Believe me when I say she will put it back into our community tenfold. This isn't forever, but it is RIGHT NOW, and it is extremely urgent.

Your donation will fund debt relief and basic needs (groceries and rent) for one of the best, most genuine people on the planet. On a selfish note - Jasmine is one of the dearest friends I've ever had, and she is the last person who deserves the stress she is under. I love her with my whole soul, and if you knew her, you would, too.
