My husband Hasan is currently being held in an ICE detention facility under horrific conditions, and we urgently need help to bring him home. We are raising $10,000 to cover his immigration bond and critical legal fees. We must raise the money by Hasan’s bond hearing on February 10th in order to secure his release. If we cannot raise these funds in time, Hasan may be deported to Turkey and we could be separated for months or even years while our marriage-based immigration application is processed. We are newly married, suddenly without income, and facing this crisis with no warning. We are humbly asking for your help.
DEADLINE: Tuesday February 10th
Our #1 Goal: Get Hasan Home + Attain Protected Status
Total amount needed: approximately $10,000
Cost Breakdown:
Bond: approximately $5,000-$10,000
Attorney fees: $3,000
Time is critical. Without immediate financial support, Hasan will remain in detention while our case moves forward—separated from me, his wife, and forced to endure inhumane conditions.
What Happened
Hasan and I are newly married and had just settled into our new home in Tallahassee, Florida. We were actively following the legal process to apply for his green card when everything changed.
On January 29, ICE arrested Hasan over a minor visa issue. We were initially told he would be released within days due to his cooperation. Instead, without explanation, he was transferred to a detention facility.
Just hours before Hasan was taken by ICE, I also lost my job. Overnight, we went from building a life together to having zero income and overwhelming legal expenses—all while my husband is imprisoned and unable to work.
Conditions Inside the Detention Facility
Hasan is being held deep in the Florida Everglades on a decommissioned airfield. The “facility” consists of massive tents with chain-link cages inside—more like kennels than living spaces. Each cage holds over 30 men.
He is confined inside this cage day and night, with access only to:
* A bed
* Toilets
* Three shared community phones (15-minute rotations per person)
He is removed only for meals and showers.
He rarely sees daylight.
Basic necessities like blankets, paper, pens, or even cleaning supplies for sewage leaks are difficult to obtain. Meals are minimal—sometimes just chips, bread, and unsafe drinking water.
These are not exaggerations.
While a few officers show kindness (and we are deeply grateful to them), the overall environment is degrading, isolating, and traumatic.
Why We Need Help
Securing experienced immigration legal representation is absolutely critical—but incredibly expensive. We are doing everything we can, but the financial burden far exceeds what we can manage alone, especially with Hasan detained and me currently unemployed.
If Hasan is deported before our marriage-based immigration application is approved, we could be separated for an extended period of time, turning an already devastating situation into something far worse.
We are simply trying to keep our family together.
