Urgent: Help Periwinkle Fight Cancer

Story

Hi, my name is Ty. I am a mental health therapist & social worker who is raising funds for my beloved cat & emotional support pet, Perwinkle, who was just diagnosed with cancer on June 2nd, 2025. He first started showing signs of illness on May 27th, and in just a few short days, his condition has worsened drastically. Perwinkle is only 6 years old, and I’m not ready to say goodbye to him. Before the pandemic, and shortly after losing my grandfather in a tragic car explosion in 2019, Perwinkle came into my life and became a source of healing, comfort, and love during one of the hardest times I’ve ever faced. He has been my emotional support, my companion, and truly my best friend. If it weren’t for him, I don’t think I would’ve made it out of graduate school on 2021. The cost to diagnose the type and location of the cancer is $4,900, including bloodwork, imaging, hospitalization stays, and he will eventually need consultations with a veterinary oncologist. Unfortunately, we can’t even begin treatment until these diagnostics are completed. Every day that passes without answers puts us further behind in giving Perwinkle a fighting chance. I am doing everything I can, but these unexpected costs are overwhelming. I don’t want money to be the reason I lose him—or the reason he doesn’t get the care he needs. If there’s any chance to save his life or improve the quality of the time he has left, I want to take it.
