Urgent: help trans activists flee death threats

We're an activist trans couple at risk. To those around the California scene, you may know me already.

We've been saving up for months to try to make it to safety on the West Coast to flee Trump's impending regime. But we're coming up short on being able to afford plane tickets.

This is utterly urgent because we have been receiving death threats, our location is compromised, and we've been doxxed by several right-wing groups. We are not safe in Michigan. Above in the photo shows something that was marked by our place. It reads, "If you have a sex life and you are LGBTQ, I will kill you all." We've been victims of harassment, hate crimes, and many other bad things.

We've been working very hard to try to make our goal, but things have been coming up short.

About a month and a half ago, we lost our jobs that paid decently due to thinly veiled anti-trans discrimination. We've been eating through our evacuation savings trying to just stay alive.

If we have to stay here past the 13th of January, it's going to eat up all of our savings and we aren't going to be able to make it. I fear what will happen if we have to stay.

Yesterday, somebody wrote that threatening tag in front of our place.

About a week ago, somebody stole about half of our savings money. So we're already landing in California with barely enough money to house ourselves. We can figure that much out; getting transportation there, however, is the utmost priority.

If you help us get to our goal, we promise to pay it forward. And we have before. We are very dedicated activists to helping others and mutual aid ourselves.

Originally, we used to live in California last year.

And I originally never wanted to leave, but I had to take care of my grandmother who was dying at the time. I made that sacrifice because it was important to me, and since leaving, I am finding it very difficult to make it back. Anytime we get slightly ahead, something happens and moves the goal post to the other end of the field.
