Esta campaña ha sido creada para ayudarnos a cubrir los gastos médicos, el proceso de traslado desde Houston a Puerto Rico y los costos fúnebres. No estábamos preparados para una pérdida tan repentina, y la carga emocional y económica es muy grande.

Con el alma desgarrada y el corazón lleno de dolor, compartimos la inesperada y devastadora partida de nuestra amada Nydia Ríos, quien falleció en Houston a causa de un aneurisma cerebral masivo que le provocó múltiples derrames cerebrales. Todo ocurrió de forma repentina, sin aviso, y nos ha dejado sumidos en una tristeza inmensa que aún no logramos comprender.

Nydia no fue madre biológica, pero fue madre en el sentido más puro y generoso de la palabra. Amó, cuidó y guió a muchos como si fuesen sus propios hijos. Fue una tía dedicada, una abuela amorosa, una esposa ejemplar y una figura materna para todos los que tuvieron la dicha de recibir su cariño incondicional.

El vínculo que tenía con su nieto fue algo verdaderamente especial. Él fue su alegría diaria, su razón para sonreír, su mayor orgullo. Ese amor entre ellos era sincero, fuerte, y eterno.

En medio del dolor y la urgencia, hicimos todo lo posible por salvarla. Se le realizaron varias intervenciones médicas en Houston, pero su cuerpo no resistió. Ahora nos enfrentamos a la difícil y dolorosa tarea de llevarla de regreso a su querida isla, Puerto Rico, para darle la despedida que merece, rodeada de su familia, su tierra y su gente.

Con humildad, te pedimos tu ayuda. Cualquier aporte —por pequeño que sea— nos acerca a poder cumplir ese último deseo de despedirla con amor, respeto y dignidad. Si no puedes donar, te pedimos que compartas esta campaña y nos acompañes con tus oraciones en este momento tan difícil.

This campaign has been created to help us cover the medical expenses, the transportation from Houston to Puerto Rico, and the funeral costs. We were not prepared for such a sudden loss, and the emotional and financial burden is overwhelming.

With broken hearts and deep sorrow, we share the unexpected and devastating loss of our beloved Nydia Ríos, who passed away in Houston due to a massive brain aneurysm that led to multiple strokes. Everything happened suddenly, without warning, and we are left in a grief that words cannot begin to explain.

Nydia was not a biological mother, but she was a mother in the truest and most generous sense of the word. She loved, cared for, and guided many as if they were her own children. She was a devoted aunt, a loving grandmother, a faithful wife, and a maternal figure to everyone blessed to know her.

Her bond with her grandson was something truly special. He was her daily joy, her reason to smile, her greatest pride. The love they shared was deep, sincere, and everlasting.

In the midst of the pain and urgency, we did everything possible to save her. Several medical interventions were performed in Houston, but her body could no longer resist. Now, we face the difficult and painful task of bringing her back to her beloved island, Puerto Rico, so we can lay her to rest surrounded by her family, her homeland, and her people.
