My car has stopped working all together now, and I am stuck in a fragile living situation where Mimi and I could be kicked out at any moment. I have the opportunity to go live in Tennessee with my ex brother in-law who has always been a big brother figure to me. We lost touch for a while but have been able to reconnect. This is the only "Family" I have left, it would be nice to live somewhere that I feel safe and not in the way or unsure of. My car needs some major repairs, as of right now my best guess is that it needs a new (used) engine. It just stopped running about 2 weeks ago as I was pulling into the parking lot here where I have been staying. The engine turns over but wont start/ staying running. I've owned this car for almost 6 years and I really don't want to just sell it to a junk yard and be left with nothing. It is a rare car and its very dependable I just couldn't keep up with repairs it was needing which has led me to this point.
