If you know me, I am not one to ask for help, so it must be bad, right?
Most don't know I have been disabled for 16 months now.
I am asking for help with bills, as I have received a foreclosure notice for being 6 months behind. They are not offering a forbearance, since I had one from Tropical Storm Irene damage, and no flood insurance to help in 2011.
On June 13, 2024, I fell at work, landed in the parking area, like a tree would fall, on my left side. While I healed from the rib injuries, the impact left me with spinal cord compression in my cervical and lumbar spinal sections. I lost strength in my hands at one point, and it took a year to get through testing and therapy, and into surgery.
So it's been a long 16 months on Workers' Comp; the complete cervical laminoplasty was done 6/24/25, and the lumbar procedures are on 11/26/25, but I have fallen way behind financially. I have exhausted my savings, since I have the added expense of paying others to do what I would normally do for myself. The simple things, but I live alone: housekeeping, food shopping, car/home repairs, snow removal, grass cutting, I spent thousands more than I should have. Post cervical surgery, I needed food delivered since I could not look down to prep food and cook! Up here in the mountains of Vermont, we had over 44 inches of snow on the ground last winter, and I lost a deck, I still have roof damage, and an unpaid heating bill.
I have been surviving by putting out the biggest fire first. I've sold off tools, canceled all subscriptions, but selling my home and moving in my condition is not an option. I need to get caught up on my mortgage by November 30th to keep my home.
ANYTHING you can do will help! Just $10 from everyone I know would put me back on my feet. I will be back in the Appliance Industry somehow, someday, training your techs and CSRs again, living my passion, and helping you and your business grow. I will remember what you did for me and pay you back somehow.
Please help me keep my home so I can heal, rehabilitate, and get back out there. Training in Appliance Repair Technology is all I want to do again.
