My sister, Teresa, has been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer — an aggressive and fast-growing form of cancer that requires urgent treatment.

In November last year, I received the call no one ever wants to get. Since then, Teresa has been facing this fight with incredible strength and courage.

Until recently, Teresa and her husband were both working and had medical cover. But over the past few months, her husband has done everything he can to support her — taking her to appointments and being by her side through this difficult time. Unfortunately, this has cost him his job, and they have now lost their medical aid.

They are now facing the start of chemotherapy and radiation treatment without the financial support needed to cover it.

I am based in Australia and, while I will contribute as much as I can, I am not in a position to carry these costs alone. That is why I have created this fundraiser — to give Teresa a fighting chance.

All funds raised will be withdrawn in Australia and transferred directly to support Teresa’s treatment and essential living expenses.

Funds will go toward:

• Chemotherapy and radiation

• Medical consultations and hospital care

• Medication and ongoing treatment

• Travel to and from appointments

• Basic living expenses during this time
