Hello, my name is Nova and I am raising funds for my dear friend Starr who is a hardworking single mother of 8 children (4 still at home).

A dedicated mother, Starr has put every last bit of her energy into meeting the needs of her children completely on her own for a number of years now. Unfortunately, due to a variety of health challenges and the current state of economic uncertainty in our country, Starr’s previously thriving online business services have suddenly dried up. Despite doing everything within her power to keep her business going, she has not seen the traction she needs to keep earning enough money to cover her rent and bills. She is now facing the threat of losing her housing if she does not raise at least $1000 within the next 8 days.

In addition to needing help with rent, Starr is trying to pivot from her online-based business to providing childcare in her home for local families in need. There is a high demand for care in her area and not enough caregivers available. Starr has 15 years of experience from previously running an in-home daycare service, so she is confident that starting this endeavor will be a game-changer for her and her family. Running a daycare will be a more consistent and reliable way to generate income and doing so will also allow Starr to continue caring for her own children at home.

We are asking for a total of $5000 to help Starr and her family stay housed as well as to purchase items to set up and sustain the new daycare operation.
