Reaching out for help during an overwhelming and urgent crisis. My son and his family recently discovered that the main sewage pipe in their backyard is broken and backed up, causing water to leak and create mold under and around their home. The mold may be contributing to ongoing illness, and the repairs are urgent to make their home safe for their two small children. Unfortunately, these major repairs are not covered by homeowner’s insurance, and the cost is far beyond what they can manage on their own.

As if this wasn’t enough, he was laid off from his job in October. Despite actively searching and doing everything he can, he has not yet been able to find new employment. At the same time, his support to be physically at home has been needed to support his partner. The stress of not knowing how they will cover essential expenses like housing, utilities, and food is taking a heavy toll.

We are hoping to raise funds to help cover the urgent sewage and mold repairs, as well as past-due bills, so they can stay in their home and focus on getting back on their feet.
