My name is Jeanine Wittlinger, and for the past five years I’ve dedicated my life to rescuing animals who had nowhere else to go. I founded Gentle Acres Animal Haven in Fairfield, VA to give abused, neglected, abandoned, and special needs farm and companion animals a second chance at life.

Over the years, I’ve saved over one hundred animals, furry and feathered alike, including winged, hooved and those with four paws. Each of them has a name, a story, and a safe place here because of your compassion.

But today, I’m heartbroken to share that we are in danger of losing the sanctuary.

I’ve used every personal resource I have, I’ve sold belongings, my jewelry and cut every possible expense, but our funds have completely run out. Without urgent help, our animals may lose the only loving home they have ever known.

This fundraiser is our last hope to:

• Cover the costs of feed, hay & fresh

produce for each of the animals

• Pay for veterinary care, emergencies

and medications

• Keep our land and shelter secure for

the souls who call GAAH home

Gentle Acres Animal Haven strives to provide a safe and loving home for animals who have been abused, abandoned, discarded, and have special needs. Providing these sentient beings with shelter and protection enables them to live their lives free from fear and instead able to enjoy a safe haven filled with kindness and comfort for the rest of their days. We advocate for eating a diet that is plant-based, a life of nonviolence, and for justice for the multitude of animals in factory farming and industrial animal agriculture. Gentle Acres Animal Haven will continue to work to create a kinder, more just world for ourselves, for our environment, and most of all, for the forgotten animals.
