This is an urgent, life-or-death situation.
While visiting Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, our family member Guy Rutigliano suffered a major accident, hitting his head, and was rushed to the hospital. Doctors confirmed he has a brain hemorrhage that requires immediate surgery to save his life.
The hospital, however, will not begin any treatment or surgery without full payment up front. We have already managed to gather and provide $10,000, but the hospital is demanding an additional $15,000 before they will proceed with care. Until this amount is paid, Guy cannot receive the life-saving operation he desperately needs.
Guy is the heart of his family—his children, his wife, and all of us who love him. Time is critical, and we need help now more than ever.
His wife, Jennifer, is by his side, and the two are likely to be stuck there during recovery for weeks, unable to work and provide for their children back home.
Every second counts right now — delays could mean the difference between life and death.
Funds raised will go directly toward his brain surgery, hospital care, medication and pain treatment, and getting them back home.
Our family is doing everything in our power to take care of them and their children, but we cannot do this alone. We are begging for your help — any amount, no matter how small, will make a difference.
If you cannot donate, please help us by sharing this page to spread the word.
Time is running out. Please, help us save Guy's life and bring him home safely.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion and support.
Update: 15k was secured through family and friends and Guy was able to have surgery on his brain. He was in surgery for four hours. Part of his skull was fractured and had to be removed. He had numerous bleeds in his brain and the next 24-48 hours is a very critical period. Please continue to donate and pray for him and his family. He may require further surgery and will likely be there for weeks. Guy has helped raise money for many families/organizations throughout his life, and his family needs everyone now.
