My best childhood friend lost her mother to aggressive cancer unexpectedly within few months. She left behind overwhelming financial and legal responsibilities in a country neither of us currently live in.
We are trying to raise $5000,- to cover urgent costs, including:
- Outstanding bills and taxes (est. $1500)
- Property damage and repairs (est. $700+)
- Clearing out the home
- Emergency relocation of 4 animals, including a previously abused dog at risk of being put down if surrendered
My friend is already struggling financially, having just moved into a new apartment and taken time off work. I personally traveled abroad for a month to help manage the situation and have used my own savings, but it hasn't been enough.
Complications with a family member who was meant to help have delayed progress significantly, increasing costs and putting everything at risk.
At this point, we cannot resolve this alone so any support would mean everything. <3
