Hello everyone,

I'm losing my violin and viola. The viola was given to me three years ago and the violin two years ago. I unexpectedly have to return these instruments back, even though they were given as gifts. I use both instruments everyday for teaching and gigging. They are my entire livelihood and my career. I put money into fixing them up the way I wanted them to sound, and even bought nice bows that complimented each instrument. Now, I have about a month to find another viola as I don't have another one that I can use for my professional gigs. 80% of my gigs are on viola, so getting a new one is the priority for now. I am truly devastated as I have grown quite attached to the viola, but I'm hopeful that I can find another one that is suitable for my work.

This is such a huge, unexpected expense so I need your help. With my mom's heart surgery and my older sister's medical expenses draining the bank earlier this year, I don't have money to buy a new instrument. I will also be putting on a recital to raise money for a new viola while I can still use this one. The recital should be sometime in September, so stay tuned for the date and time.
