My name is Sam Gale, and my family and I here in South Carolina have recently had an alarming situation arise regarding our air conditioning. Unbeknownst to us, one of the vent covers leading into our basement had fallen off, and some critter had torn down a vital portion of our duct work for our HVAC. While we've managed to fix the vent cover back on (and placed some concrete blocks against it for good measure), this leaves us with a hefty fine to fix the issue that we are woefully unprepared to pay.

Our home was left with a small amount of cold air after the initial incident, but the unit has since stopped pumping any in, so we are facing the heat with nothing but a small dehumidifier and some box fans. Additionally, after an inspector came out, he found some new issues with the unit itself as well. While I don't like making these sorts of requests, I would humbly ask that you help us to repair our damaged duct work and unit, which received a quoted repair bill of $2500. Any additional funds would go towards GoFundMe's cut and addressing any further issues with the unit itself or the rest of the ventilation.
