Hello GoFundMe world, my name is Elysia, and I am in a terrible financial predicament. I have one last-ditch effort to recover my van for $460.00. That is down from $1,107.50, the original cost to get it back from repossession. THIS is my story.

The following is a short explanation of what has happened and why it's SO important to get my van back.

In 2/2020, I was part of a horribly tragic and traumatic family situation that changed my life forever. During all of this, my best friend's (Leslie) mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer. During this time, I ended up needing to find a place to live and a vehicle all at once. My BFF's mom decided, out of the kindness of her heart, to give me her van to make things less of a burden while needing to move out. She gave me a priceless gift, not to mention a gift of a lifetime.

JUMP to 3-4 months ago, I ended up being diagnosed with venous reflux disease, which is chronic and will get worse over time. During this time, working was choppy, and I needed to pay to keep a roof over my FUR BABIES' heads. I didn't have an option and needed to use my van as collateral. WELL, it went south 8 days ago and was repossessed. I really hurt my best friend so, so much. I really didn't want to tell her at all. I knew it would hurt her, and it did.

I spoke with the car title loan company, and at first, they wanted $1,105.50 by this past Monday 4/13. But I was able to get it down to $460.00 by Friday, 4/24/26, this coming FRIDAY. I know I'm working against the clock. But I'm openly praying for a miracle. I need my van to get to my new job starting on 4/20/26, 3 days too late.

More importantly, I DO NOT want to hurt my best friend LESLIE any more than I already have. Please, PLEASE help me hold onto my van.
