Hello everyone. My name is Justin Jacobs and I come to you in need of a bit of emergency financial support. This month, I had to pay rent for two places due to some complications with our landlord, which pretty much drained the savings I had. Yesterday at work, my phone slipped into a gap in a constructed wall. After six hours of trying to retrieve it, the phone could not even be located, let alone recovered. HR's position is that they are not liable and are offering no assistance. My cellular carrier has communicated that under the circumstances, I do not qualify for loss protection, so I will have to pay off the old phone before I can afford to replace it. With that, rent, bills, and general groceries around the corner, this truly could not have happened at a worse time.

I work in live theatre and comedy, so my phone is my lifeline. To be clear, I am currently operating without a working phone number (because I had to cancel my cellular plan). This is impacting every aspect of my life, and leaves me without access to everything from gig contacts to emergency services.

I am asking for financial help from the community, which will go to paying off the old phone which is unrecoverable. It will also go towards helping me set up a flip phone for the time being so that I am not without a means of contact.

Any amount is helpful. While I cannot directly repay you for your support, I will write a song for everyone who donates to show my appreciation. It could be a song for your anniversary, a silly song to tell your parent Happy Birthday, or just something you want. Anything!
