My name is Nery Milano, I am 73 years old and live in Venezuela. Today I am facing one of the most difficult challenges of my life, and I need your support to overcome it.

Four years ago, I was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma in my leg, a rare type of cancer, for which I had to undergo surgery and chemotherapy. I thought I had overcome it, but last year I began experiencing back pain that revealed a new lesion in my spine. I received radiotherapy and managed to improve, but a few weeks ago my condition worsened drastically.

I now suffer from flaccid paraplegia, which means I have lost mobility in my legs and am completely dependent on a wheelchair. Tests show that the lesion in my spine has grown and is pressing on my spinal cord. Doctors have indicated that I need surgery to remove the lesion and separate it from the spinal cord, followed by stereotactic radiosurgery, to prevent further deterioration and give me a chance at recovery.

The problem is that this operation requires specialized equipment, such as an ultrasonic aspirator and a microsurgery kit, which are not available in the hospital and must be privately funded.
