Hi,

My name is Teri and I have Stage 4 terminal cancer and am unable to walk because of it, so I'm bedridden. I was diagnosed approximately a year ago, and since I have been unable to walk, I had to quit my job. My husband has been my caregiver through all this and takes me to my appointments. I am currently receiving chemotherapy in hopes of it lengthening my life some.

Since he has to take off work to dress me and take me to all my appointments, he is unable to work full-time, so he doesn't get a full paycheck. He isn't bringing in much money because of all this, so we are way behind on all our bills. I have found programs to help us pay for our electric, water, and sewer bills, but not our mortgage. I have spoken to our mortgage company, but since we are so behind on our payments, the only thing they can do for us is a short sale or we will lose it in foreclosure. We don't want to sell or lose our home; it isn't much, but it's our home. The price of apartments and homes here in Washington State is much, much higher than our mortgage payment.

So, I am pleading for help catching up on our mortgage payments so we don't lose our home. They sent us letters of default, and it says we have until March 23rd to make up our late payments, or they start foreclosure proceedings. Please, please, if anyone out there can help us, I am begging for that help. We will appreciate any help that we can get!!
