Nova has just come down with similar symptoms to Prince, whom we lost earlier this week to pneumonia. Nova had been to the vet twice already out of an abundance of caution. Because she had been transported with Prince (separate kennels but same transporter), we had the vet take x-rays on Wednesday, and her lungs were clear. And to be extra cautious, she was started on antibiotics.

Nova had NO symptoms until today, and as soon as we got the call from her foster mom, she was rushed to the emergency hospital, VSEC. They took repeat x-rays which now show pneumonia, and she is clearly not feeling well. She is being put into an oxygen chamber, having nebulization treatments, getting IV fluids plus antibiotics, and having extensive labs and tests done. She is being hospitalized, and receiving round the clock emergency care and treatment.
