My name is Marcela and Marisela and we are from Dallas, Texas. I’m going through the worst emergency of my life with my dog Coco, who is truly part of my family and a light in our home.

Coco recently had a C-section, and everything seemed to be healing well. The veterinarians checked her incision and confirmed it was closed and healing properly. But suddenly and unexpectedly, the incision burst open, and all of her intestines and vital organs came out.

I rushed her to the emergency hospital. The doctors cleaned and repositioned all her organs, and thank God none of them were damaged. However, her life now depends on emergency surgery, hospitalization, strong antibiotics, and intensive care to prevent a deadly infection.

The hospital is asking for $7,000 just to begin treatment, and they told me the total could reach $12,000 or more. I don’t have this amount of money, and without it, the only option they are giving me is to put her to sleep. Coco is awake, fighting, and wants to live. My heart can’t let her go without trying everything.

That’s why I’m creating this fundraiser. Any donation, even $1, can bring us closer to saving her life. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign also helps tremendously.

Hace poco Coco tuvo una cesárea, y todo parecía estar evolucionando bien. Los veterinarios revisaron sus heridas y confirmaron que estaban cerradas y cicatrizando correctamente. Pero de un momento a otro, de manera inesperada y devastadora, la herida se abrió por completo y todos sus intestinos y órganos salieron al exterior.

La llevé de inmediato a emergencias. Los doctores limpiaron y reacomodaron los órganos y, gracias a Dios, ninguno está dañado. Sin embargo, ahora su vida depende de una cirugía de emergencia, hospitalización, antibióticos y cuidados intensivos para evitar una infección que podría ser fatal.

El hospital me está pidiendo $7,000 dólares solo para empezar y me dijeron que el total podría llegar a $12,000 o más. Yo no cuento con esa cantidad y, si no puedo pagar, la única alternativa que me ofrecen es dormirla. Coco está consciente, luchando, con ganas de vivir, y mi corazón no soporta dejarla ir sin intentar todo.
