Hi, my name is Bridget....Starting a go fund me is the last thing I wanted to do, but I'm needing help to save my home from being sold.

A little back ground. I was in the medical field for 24 years. My career ended 6 years ago when a patient hit me and knocked me unconscious. I suffered a severe brain injury (TBI). I had to stop working and start the recovery from the injury. I bought this home about 5 months after my brain injury so I had a safe place to rehab, instead of being in a camper. As I was recovering from the brain injury, I suffered a spine injury. Over the last 3 years I've been through many spine procedures, and a spine surgery. I will be undergoing another spine surgery in about 4 weeks. I walk with a cane and the doctor's are hoping this surgery will help with my mobility, and pain. I was finally approved for disability at the first of the year, and that is my only income of $998.00 a month. During this time I wasn't able to pay the taxes on my house. Two days ago I got a letter that my house will go on a Tax Sale list on April 30, 2026 if I don't pay $3,004.64. Then the remaining balance of $2,724.90 by August 24th. The county doesn't give you much time to come up with the money, I have about 4 weeks to try. If I can pay the $3,000 it will take the lean off my house so I can keep it, and I won't be homeless. It's been tough doing this alone. I put my heart and soul into this house because it was going to be my forever home for me, and my dog. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
