**Side note, wanted to be more realistic and changed the total!!!!overnight dashing here we come.**
**standing tall although Insanely embarrassed, but this is our only hope!**
We hope this finds everyone well. I am reaching out because we could really use some help. My SO and I were both laid off back in October. As you know, it’s a dog-eat-dog market for employees. The last few months have been unfavorable for us. Today finally caught us; we now have the water turned off. We let it go so rent was paid, but today was the end of that.
I was finally able to land a part-time gig with Amazon and a few short days after that, another part-time gig with Coca-Cola. But I just started with Amazon and I don’t begin the next job until Monday.
We have done everything we can, but we are short on rent, which is late, so more money is owed. And then our water has been cut off. To have it turned back on, we have to pay the full amount of $471 plus a $65 reconnect fee.
We are approximately $725 short for rent (rent total $1751, add a late fee for a total owed of $1907.20).
We have applied for every loan out there. All denied. I hate asking for a handout, but really, we have no other options.
I would prefer the money went straight to the bill, but I don’t know how to have that done. WKUD doesn’t take partial payments, and neither will our complex.
We have made every possible call. We went to CAC (they have not given money out since December 2nd). We have called and left message after message at any church that WKUD referred us to: Salvation Army, Karm, etc. All told us to call CAC. Alas, now I am placing my hand on my heart, throwing my prayers to the good Lord above, and praying we do not get evicted this weekend and we get our water back on ASAP.
