Greetings Everyone,
please allow me to introduce myself…I’m Patricia Teal. I’ll start with this, it was difficult for me to break my silence by going public with my situation. In a nutshell, my Duke Energy account has been in the rears for a long time. On July 15, 2025 my electric service was wrongfully disconnected due to an outstanding balance and they refuse to reconnect it until the full balance is paid. Currently, my electricity is still off. I have reached out to the attorney general’s office, the state senator’s office, the North Carolina utilities commission and many agencies, organizations and family members to help, but little support has been given. I’m 72, my home is starting to get colder inside. Any financial assistance would be greatly appreciated. Also, all financial support can be directly applied to my Duke Energy account if you choose to do so. Thanks in advance for for your help!
