This is gonna be a long one where do I begin so I moved in April 2024 since we moved in we have not had any heat many times the water gets turned off for nonpayment hot water tank busted gas leak leaks sink broken floods in the basement so many things to name. I have three children and the disabled husband at home. My husband recently had a stroke and I’m trying to move out of here to get us somewhere where it’s safe for the kids and my husband. I had to quit my job in order to care for my disabled husband. I’ve contacted Code Enforcement many times. Sec 8 has failed inspection many times still no one is doing anything. I went to the Mayor‘s office, cried at their desk, begged and plea for someone to help us and here we are almost 2 years later still dealing with no heat no hot water woke up this morning and our pipes are frozen. We live in Newark where we have had cold blue for about two months now to live somewhere with no heat no hot water has been very difficult especially when you have a disabled husband and can’t get him upstairs for anything. I am asking for donations so I can try to move my family out of here. I’ve tried agencies. I’ve tried the city. I’ve tried seven on your side. I emailed the councilman the Mayor I’ve emailed so many people and I’m still getting no assistance. Anything you can help with I would greatly appreciate every penny counts. Thank you so much.
