This fundraiser is for my good friend Dana Brown who is in the hospital right now and could really used some help. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in fall 2019 and then had a brain tumor and two heart attacks over the last several years so she's been struggling to work consistently and pay her bills for quite some time now. She works as a teacher's aide so she only gets paid for the hours she works, and she was in the hospital in mid November with another heart attack and then had to get two stents replaced around Thanksgiving. She was home for less than a week before she wound up back in the hospital with Covid, Flu A, and Flu B. Her oxygen went down to 78% and she was intubated for two weeks in the ICU and then in a critical care unit and most recently spent a week in a rehab unit. They do thankfully expect her to be able to go back to work when her school starts up again after winter break but she hasn't worked for basically six weeks and needs urgent help with bills.

I was able to help her cover her mortgage and car payments for November and December and the initial $800 she received in donations covered her November utilities, but now she owes $550 for the copay for her various hospital stays and another $900 for utilities this month (car insurance payment, electrical bill which was high due to it being winter, water bill, phone, and Internet). Any donation amount would help her out greatly right now.
