My name is Marwan, and I am reaching out to you on behalf of my sister Safaa and her family, who are enduring unimaginable hardships due to the recent conflict in Gaza.

Before the war, my sister Safaa was a dedicated social counselor, providing vital support to the community in Gaza, especially children in schools. Her husband was a talented media designer, working to create impactful media content. Together, they worked tirelessly to support their son, aged 11 months, and daughter, aged 4.

Their Story:

The conflict has wreaked havoc on their lives. They have not only lost their jobs but also their home and all their possessions. An airstrike destroyed their lovely home, leaving them with nothing but the clothes they were wearing and a desperate need to start over.

Amidst the ongoing violence and instability, Safaa and her family made the difficult decision to temporarily evacuate to Egypt. They plan to stay there for a few months until it is safe to return to Gaza.

Despite their strength and perseverance, the obstacles they face are immense. With no income and limited access to basic necessities, Safaa and her family are struggling to survive amidst the devastation.

How Your Donations Will Be Used:

Your contributions will directly help Safaa's family rebuild their lives. Here’s a breakdown of how your donations will be utilized:

Travel Expenses to Egypt: The costs for the family to cross the border to Egypt are considerable. The travel expense for each adult is estimated at 5,000 EUR, and for each child, it is 1,500 EUR, totaling 13,000 EUR.
Replacement of Lost Belongings: The bombings have resulted in the loss of all their belongings. Your donations will help replace essential items, estimated at 5,000 EUR.
Medical Expenses: Access to medical care is essential for their well-being. Donations will cover necessary medications, estimated at 2,000 EUR.
Living Expenses for the First 3 Months in Egypt: Your support will cover their basic needs during the initial transition period, including accommodation, food, and other essentials. The estimated living costs for three months in Egypt are 5,000 EUR.
GoFundMe Transaction Fees: Please note that GoFundMe charges transaction fees for each donation. Based on their fee structure of 2.9% + 0.25 EUR per transaction, we estimate these fees to be approximately 750 EUR.
