When I got the request to support Myanmar people, earthquake survivors and their families from my Myanmar local colleagues, local youth and women's organizations working in Myanmar, in the affected areas of Mandalay, Sagaing and Shan State Inn Lay, I could not deny. I and my friends contribute as much as I can. Then, my international colleagues gave me an idea to raise the funds for this horrible disaster. Your small contribution helps Myanmar people affected by the most powerful and deadliest earthquake. On 28 March, Myanmar people faced the most horrifying moment when a massive 7.7 Magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar.

More than thousands of people died in this Myanmar earthquake. The smell of dead bodies spread through Sagaing, Upper part of Myanmar, the area rarely accessed by volunteers and outside organizations due to ongoing civil conflict. Survivors are left without food, water or medical care. Most families are trapped under rubble and children become parentless.

It is the most horrible Earthquake, and Myanmar people face lots of barriers to accessing aids and justice.

For the Sagaing, the most affected area, this fund will directly reach through local organizations : Border Area Association who work for Sagaing Region for more than a decade in education, youth, women economic empowerment, and health issues, and through religious associations to provide donations as lots of mosques, monasteries and some church areas were damaged.

GoFund Me just approved fund transfer last week, and sent all funding to the Border Area Development Association for the Earthquake survivors of Sagaing Region, Myanmar as per planned.

Gofund me approval process took a lot of time, and I provided much information and identity as they systematically check all the information of fundraiser, and they even check and verify the registration number of the organization that we donated. I am sure it is a proper verification process. Finally, GofundMe approved and sent 935.14 AUD (after they deduct their administrative fee from our total fund received 962 AUD). With MMK rate, we donated 2,599,689 MMK.
