Thank you to everyone who has donated. This situation has been very complex. I was told at the court hearing that I had a week to return to the United States and hand over my child.

A few days before I was supposed to go I was put in contact with a lawyer here in Costa Rica who said he would be able to help me.

This lawyer has helped my son and I tremendously and along with that help of course, comes paying for his services.

The money that was donated has gone to paying the lawyer.

I wish I could share all of the details of my situation right now but currently it is most important that I am not oversharing, but focusing on the safety of my son and I.
