Help Us Get Sandra Long-Term Care

The last couple of months have been incredibly hard for our family. Our beloved Sandra who has been courageously living with Alzheimer’s was recently hospitalized so a PEG tube could be placed to ensure she receives the nutrition her body needs. Sadly, she won’t be able to return to her previous care facility, as they are not equipped to provide the level of care she now requires. And unfortunately, funds are few and far between.

She needs a specialized long-term care facility that can truly meet her Alzheimer’s and PEG tube needs. We’ve found a facility we believe is the right fit, but unfortunately, access is being delayed due to financial constraints and pending SSI coverage. Most facilities require financial guarantees up front, and with her benefits still in limbo and access to her funds tied up, we’re doing everything we can just to keep her safe and cared for.

Sandra is still in the hospital, but we’ve already overstayed the emergency window. Without placement soon, we risk the state stepping in. With hopeful hearts and deep gratitude, we’re asking for help to raise the funds needed to secure her a spot at this facility for at least four months enough time for her benefits to be approved and long-term solutions to be put in place.

All donations will go directly to her children, Desmond and Denesha, who are working tirelessly to get her placed in care and cover necessary expenses while we wait for SSI and other support applications to process.
