My wife Thalia has been the only one working during this time. She has done everything she can to keep us afloat, but we have barely been able to stay above water with bills. This battle has taken everything out of us, but we are not giving up.
Recently, we found a different treatment program outside of Moffitt Cancer Center that could give me a real chance to beat this disease before a stem cell transplant, which currently carries a very low survival rate. Unlike the standard approach, this program is managed by a well-known medical doctor with over 30 years of experience. Each patient’s treatment is highly individualized, based on extensive testing to match genetics with the right chemotherapy, supplements, IVs, peptides, and anti-parasitic medications.
This approach gives me hope because it is tailored to my body and my specific cancer. By contrast, the doctors at Moffitt only want to push the highest possible doses of chemotherapy and then monitor my response closely. I truly fear that my body may not be able to safely handle that approach anymore.
This program offers me a last chance at life, but it comes with a cost far beyond what we can handle on our own. We urgently need to raise $100,000 to begin this treatment, cover medical expenses, travel, and recovery.
