Hey all, as you may or may not know, Yuya needs some help. He has agreed and consented to this GoFundMe and for its purposes.

Yuya has undergone a recent catastrophic health event, leaving him unable to care for himself, his kitties, or his home for the time being. He is at a long-term rehab facility, and as of now, the end date of his time there is unknown.

Concurrently, he has to suddenly move out of his home. He has innumerable valuables, art, music equipment, and personal belongings that will be disposed of if not removed from the property before August 8th.

Yuya is extremely private and has so far been receiving help from a small number of his trusted community, all of whom were asked by him to keep his situation private. He is now understanding that it is time to ask for help from a broader community. Even so, he would like this fundraiser to stay within the Zubian bandwidth and friends of friends, so please do not share on open forums.

The immediate need is to raise money for a storage unit for a few months and a U-Haul.

His dear friend will be putting the unit in his name and will be available for big move days when he is off work.

The numbers are a bit variable, but for the size and location of the unit we want, it’s about $230 a month. If we have a few months with this unit, we can more thoughtfully sell, rehome, or hold Yuya’s belongings until we know more about his capacity and ongoing needs.

The fundraising goal is $1000. Honestly, even $500 would get us through a couple of months and moving costs, so please consider donating even just a small amount to help us get to this.
