Urgent Help needed for Wimberley's Cynda Luclaire
Donation protected
Hi everybody, my name is Susan Millsapps and I am reaching out on behalf of treasured Wimberley local Cynda Luclaire, who needs help. Cynda is disabled, is 73 years old, and in a wheelchair.
Her townhouse in the Woodcreek North area has flooded due to a pipe that burst due to mineral buildup from hard water. She has catastrophic homeowners insurance, but they denied her claim due to it being "wear and tear" and not due to an act of nature.
The pipe burst inside the wall in her bathroom, flooded it as well as her adjoining bedroom, entryway, and all the wallboard above the affected flooring. The wallboard above the affected areas will have to be replaced 2-3 feet up from the floor, and the flooring will need to be replaced as it is holding water and warping.
She received a bid for thousands of dollars so she will need help to get the work paid for. She is trying to find lower bids and search for any help available for seniors.
Cynda is a retired artist, and as her health failed her, she became unable to continue as an artist, and she generously gave away scores of beautiful works of art to the Wimberley community. That is her nature; she is a Wimberley treasure. Whatever you can give to help get her home repaired and safe now before mold sets in would be greatly appreciated.
