A New Chapter for Treat Them R+ght – Help Us Build for the Future!
We need your help! 2025 has been a tough year for many, and our rescue, Treat Them R+ght, is no exception. Due to complications with our property owners, we are being forced to relocate our rescues to one side of the property—cutting our space in half. While we are grateful to still have land to work with, we need to make major modifications to ensure a safe and secure environment for the animals in our care. On top of that, we are facing a tight deadline—we must be completely moved by the end of May.
This transition requires significant work, including new fencing, shelter improvements, and new enclosures. Additionally, land renovations such as brush and boulder removal are necessary to maximize the space we have. Every donation, big or small, will help us complete these urgent projects and continue providing a haven for animals in need.
We also want to use this moment of change to introduce a major evolution in our rescue—not in the care we provide, but in our name. As some may know, Jakob Franklin Mott, the brother of our founder, passed away last month. Our rescue has always been family-run, and we have decided to honor our family name, Franklin, by renaming our rescue Franklin Farm Sanctuary. This name holds deep meaning for us, as Franklin Farm Sanctuary would not exist without Spenser’s late father, John Franklin Mott, and now Jakob Franklin Mott.
We hope you will embrace this name change as the beginning of a new era—one of growth, resilience, and continued dedication to our mission. While much is changing, you can trust that our commitment to animal welfare and our community remains stronger than ever. With your support, we can make this transition as smooth as possible and continue saving lives. Thank you for standing with us in this critical time!
