Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
I am writing today with an update that fills me with immense gratitude, alongside an urgent, humble request. First and foremost, from the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has so generously contributed to this campaign so far. Your kindness has provided crucial initial relief during this incredibly challenging time.
Thanks to your support, we are now almost halfway to our goal! This progress is a beacon of hope, and I cannot express how much your contributions have already helped.
The incredible news remains that I have accepted a new job that will provide long-term stability! This is a huge step forward, and I'm immensely grateful for this opportunity. However, the position does not officially begin until August 18th. This means while there's an end in sight, the need to bridge this critical financial gap is still very dire.
The reality of being out of work for over a month has completely exhausted my savings. I am facing immediate and pressing financial burdens, including:
Rent is due
Both car payments are due
Car insurance is due
Phone bills are due
Internet service is due
The loan I took out last month just to cover previous bills is also due.
It's a cascading effect, and without a steady income, I'm completely out of funds to cover these essential expenses. Every day feels like a race against the clock until that first paycheck comes in mid-August.
I am actively and relentlessly searching for a new position. You can follow my active job search journey here: . I am leveraging my decade-plus of experience as a Field Engineer and Test Engineer in DoD contracting, working with cutting-edge communication systems like MUOS, and constantly networking on platforms like LinkedIn.
Any further contribution, no matter how small, would provide immense relief and directly help me cover these remaining critical expenses for the next few weeks. It would ensure I can avoid further financial penalties and truly buy me the crucial time needed to transition smoothly into my new role on August 18th and get back on my feet without falling further behind.
If you're unable to contribute financially, a share of this post with your network would be equally invaluable. You never know who might see it and be able to help.
Thank you again for your incredible support and kindness during this challenging final push towards stability.
Sincerely,
Chris Wing
