Our family could really use some prayers right now. I am not one to post things like this on social media until I feel like we have no other choice, but I believe in the power of prayer, and I know that our God will make something happen. It's hard not to stress myself out. God would have never placed these children in our hands if He didn't have something bigger in store. Most everyone knows that we took the 5 foster children in from the horrible child and animal abuse case 7 weeks ago here in Cannon County. Well, now WE are being evicted from our home after 3 years (going on 4) ALL because we took the children in to love, care, and support them. We have been up to date on rent, treated this home like it was our own home, and now we get this from the landlords. We have nowhere to go right now (we did come January), but we technically have to be out by November 8. The issue we keep running into is nobody will allow us to rent anything short-term with 9 kids until we can get something built or brought in on an acre of land that we bought from my grandparents. Granted, that's still a process due to needing to be surveyed, perk site, etc. I have contacted some lawyers and am just waiting to hear back, but if you have any advice at all, anything is greatly appreciated. We are doing our best to stay strong, but I am ready to break at any moment now. Not only does this affect the 5 foster kids, but it affects my own 4 children. We have such a loving, supportive community, and without Y'ALL, we would not be able to do this since we get zero help from the state. We love our Cannon County community and everyone in it.
