I’m writing this with a humble heart.
I’m a young Afghan woman living in the U.S. with my family. A few years ago, we came here seeking peace and opportunity after surviving years of hardship and war.
I’m now a university student in Oklahoma, studying Sociology and Pre-Law. My dream is to graduate, become a voice for others, and give back to the community that gave me hope. But today, I’m at risk of losing everything I’ve worked so hard for.
I owe $8,500 to my university from last semester. If I don’t pay it soon, I won’t be able to register for the upcoming fall semester. This could completely stop my education.
I’ve been doing all I can. I recently started a small art project and I’m trying to build a creative business from scratch. But it takes time, and I don’t have enough right now.
