I have a treatable rare skull-based tumor that's compressing critical structures inside my skull, including blood vessels, nerves, one side of my brain and my brain stem. But, I've gone too long without treatment for it and other serious health conditions.

My inability to get the appropriate level of healthcare is RUINING my life. I need to be seen as quickly as possible at an advanced research hospital to prevent further debilitation.

As you can see, I can still communicate... when specific symptoms aren't bad. But, I struggle with in-person and phone-based communication because of a rare hearing disorder caused by the tumor and exacerbated by some of the other health issues. Sometimes, I can't even handle this much.

I experienced a lot of delays on this journey because of medical negligence and fraud, life emergencies, the pandemic, and the high cost of American healthcare. I'm also a survivor of disability abuse, domestic violence, and a stalker, which is why I'm not using my full name publicly on this fundraiser.

My insurance won't cover the related high out-of-network costs to just restart the process of finding an experienced surgical team and then relocating closer to their hospital system. Some hospitals charge hundreds of dollars for a single consultation.

The symptoms have disrupted every aspect of my life, including my work. I can't raise enough money through income alone to cover the out-of-pocket costs.

This has gone on too long. I already have brain damage. I'm reaching out to all of you with this plea.

The fundraiser's $24,000 goal is set at a lower amount than what is needed because the site recommended an automated step goal when I set up this page last year. But, from what I can tell, the step goal fails to impress upon anyone the real urgency of my case.

I originally thought I only needed $50K to $75K to cover out-of-pocket, non-insurance expenses. Another person had set up a separate fundraiser listing me as the beneficiary after they had difficulty making changes to this one when I set them as a co-organizer. I was going to stop editing this one and try to find out how to safely pause or remove it. But, I kept seeing information online about how doing that might accidentally delete my account. So, I left it here while the other one was set at a step goal and the new goal altered to $80,000 after a re-evaluation of estimated expenses. After the step goal did poorly, it was set to the full amount.

I'm literally YEARS past due for treatment. My symptoms have worsened over time. Again, I've already experienced brain damage because of not receiving timely care. I don't want to lose anymore to this tumor.

How Will I Use Your Donations?

The donations will be used to cover medical expenses not currently covered by my insurance and non-medical expenses that are necessities that will assist me with achieving my goals.
