Most of you know me as Sea Kelpie. I am reluctant to give my name for reasons, but you can call me B.J. I consider myself an #uglydog although I don't use the hashtag so you all don't get a lot of my flaming rhetoric about the current political situation. That being said, I am in a spot of trouble, totally self-inflicted, and I am running out of options faster than money for gas, and I found out how far was too far when I ran out of gas the first night I was living in my car.

I have advanced acute open-angle glaucoma, that has rendered me legally blind, without my glasses. It has virtually trashed my career, because I can't seem to keep all of the balls in the air anymore, juggling 150-200 cases, preparing all of the exhibits for trial in a case with 50 parties. My executive function is marginal & my filters are bad. I can still drive - but as I realized the other night - I can't continue to drive at night.

I moved out of the casita because I was out of money. I should be getting my deposit back, but the landlords have until July 9, 2025 to provide me with the money and/or detailed list of why they are keeping some or all of that money. I barely got everything I own into a storage unit, and the fee is coming due. As is the fee for my private mailbox. Add on to this, the misery of a severe urinary tract infection, access only to public restrooms, very little food that doesn't require cooking, and I'm in trouble.

Please help re-home this Sea Kelpie. I am seeking assistance through local public programs, but they are slow, ponderous & can't help with immediate funds. I am applying for disability, Medicaid/Medicare, Social Security, etc but these are also not going to help with my immediate needs for a full tank of gas, food in my belly & somewhere safer than the places I've managed to tuck my car away for the past 4 nights. Any amount you can spare would be a blessing to me. Thank you in advance. BJ
