1/31/25 Update: My friend's wife and kids have safely made it to the US and have been reunited with my friend in the Bay Area! Thank you so much for all your incredible support!!!!

More background:

Thanks to your amazing support, we were able to get my friend's wife and two children out of his home country. As a result, they were able to prevent his son from forced conscription into the country's mandatory government military service, which is indefinite and described as "modern day slavery" with "prison-like conditions" by Human Rights Watch and the UNHRC. His wife and children flew to the US with an approved sponsorship visa, and as of 1/31/25, the family is happily reunited in the Bay Area after almost a decade of separation!
