I didn’t think I was going to need to do this, but I find myself in a situation that demands it. My name is Rain, and I am a 32 year old disabled artist. At the beginning of January, I was threatened with eviction by my landlord, after a series of medical procedures that I needed. I was then told to vacate the premises by March 1st. We have an agreement in place to give me some money, but it is not enough to cover major expenses, and the landlord is being stingy with how the money is being transferred. I have found a place to move into, but even with the money from the agreement, it is not enough to cover expenses. Moving costs alone are high as it is, and I need to be able to afford essentials on top of that. I am in Massachusetts, and the cost of living here is very high, which is a further strain on funds, in addition to everything else I need.

As I am disabled, work has been very hard to come by, and commission work for my art has been scarce. I’ve tried contacting aid groups in my area, but they haven’t helped.
