Hello, this is Daniel Garabrandt.

Many of you may remember me, or my wife Olga.

Over the past several years we have been dealing with her failing health.

Last year was a terrible year. Something happened, we still haven't been able to pin point what.

But, Olga nearly died twice. It took everything I had, and the help of many others, to save her.

I am grateful for everything that each of you have done so far. Even the phone calls or texts.

Your support has been instrumental in my efforts to keep her alive and find out how to get her healthy.

With everyone's help, I was able to Olga's health stabilized this year.

I was also able to get our finances mostly stabilized and restarted my attempt at my corrections officer career.

Without all of your help, this would have been impossible.

I am writing to GoFundMe now because at the end of March, I broke my foot.

This has put me out of work for the entirety of April. I have been doing odd jobs like Data Annotation and Uber to try to sustain us. But ultimately, it isn't enough.

Olga needs to get her medications soon. Her insurance doesn't cover all of it, unfortunately.

I'm going to have to find a way to pay approximately $400 to continue her medical treatments, on top of food and gas and utilities.

This week, I have run completely out of money. I tried to push through without asking for anymore help.

I contacted the VA for help and local/state agencies. I haven't received anything from them yet that will help me get Olga the medicine that she requires.

I've finally gotten some time to seek help for my medical problems.

I'm currently in treatment for my breathing problems, my mental health condition (I've been diagnosed with major depression and suicidal ideations), and of course, my foot.

The VA pays for my treatments, just not for Olga. It is for her that I am asking this help.

I'll get my VA disability payment sometime between the 29th and 1st of the month. It's approximately $1100.

That will cover our utilities and some basic needs for the beginning of the month.

I am primarily asking for help with her medical needs. As that is where most of my money goes.

I understand that i have asked for a lot in the past. If I had not have broken my foot, I would not be out of my primary job and therefore not need to ask again. I should be returning to work in a few more weeks. Until then, I'll be doing Uber and Data Annotation to help pad our finances.

But, as of today, I am out of money and won't be able to get what Olga requires in time without some help.

So, I am asking for $1000. It will be used for my wife's medication, visit to her doctor, and for the special diet that she is on.

If you are able to help, we will greatly appreciate it.

If, you are not, I understand. You can take this as an update of sorts on her condition. She has improved substantially, but she still has a long way to go.
