Hello,
My name is Matthew, and I'm reaching out on behalf of myself, my roommate Christian, and his fiancee, Selena, who just had a baby on December 27th, 2025. As you can imagine, life with a newborn has brought a lot of joy, but it's also made our financial situation even more challenging. Right now, we are facing an incredibly difficult time, and we need your help.
Since November of 2025, I lost my job, and in December, Selena lost hers--just days before their baby was born. This left us in a very tough spot. The only income right now is from my roommate, Christian, who is doing his best to support all of us. But despite his hard work, we are struggling to make ends meet. We've tried everything: reaching out to churches, calling 211, contacting city services, reaching out to family and friends, and even working directly with our apartment complex. But unfortunately, none of these efforts have been successful in resolving our immediate situation.
As of now, our apartment complex is threatening eviction tomorrow, January 15th. We are in a dire situation, and any help would be greatly appreciated. The amount we've set as a goal is $2,000, but honestly, anything helps. We've set this amount as a buffer to cover the rent and food for the next few weeks. The ultimate goal is $1,500 for just rent, but I added a little extra as a buffer to ensure we can get by during this difficult time.
This is not easy to ask for, and it's not something we take lightly. We've exhausted all other options, and we're turning to the kindness of others because the situation is urgent. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will go a long way in helping us stay in our home and provide for the baby. We deeply appreciate every single person who takes the time to read this and share our story.
Thank you so much for your support during this difficult time. We are forever grateful.
Warmly,
Matthew
Christian & Selena
*P.S. Photos will be added once more is available. This is an active situation. As things progress, updates will be shared.*
*UPDATE: I've updated the goal to account for an unexpected but critical expense. Selena & Christian's car is in need of new tires so he can safely commute to and from work. Reliable transportation is essential right now as he's the only one working, and we truly TRULY appreciate everyone who has helped and shared so far.*
