Urgent help needed for Nelly the GSD

Hi everyone, I’m Nelson! All my close friends call me Nelly. I am a 7-year-old German Shepherd.

I haven’t been feeling too well for a few days; I've been vomiting, having loose stool, and my appetite hasn’t been the best. My caring parents took me to the vet. I had everything done from blood tests to urine tests to x-rays. My symptoms were taken care of; however, there is something next to my heart that should not be there. My parents did not even flinch and continued to get any possible test done to figure out what it is.

I was diagnosed with a tumor next to my heart. The appropriate name is a “Cystic Thymoma.” I was told I don’t have many options; radiation and chemotherapy are both off the table due to the type of tumor it is. The only option is getting open chest surgery, which is very expensive. I need to get a CT Scan before anything, which is upwards of $3,500. Then go ahead with the surgery, which is upwards of $15,000. That’s with multiple days and nights in the ICU, constant bloodwork, and recovery. Without this surgery, I was given less than a year, which is very heartbreaking (No pun intended).

I know my family loves me and they’re trying everything they can to save my life. I am a very sweet, loving shepherd, not your typical one. Any help to my parents would really mean everything to me.
