My name is Margaret Mott. I am 76 years old, and I live on a very fixed income. I have two beautiful rescue cats, and three outdoor cats that I take care of. At this point I have contacted numerous agencies to see if I can get some sort of help. Apparently nobody has any money at this time.

On August 4th, I went to the rental office and paid my rent. On August 10th, I told them the rent check had not gone through. They told me to wait. I went back in a week later and they gave me the paperwork showing the rent went through. I went to the bank, and they told me the rent didn't go through. They gave me documentation that the rent did not go through. I went back to the office and they said it went through and they gave me paperwork stating it went through. I spent my time trying to find out where the money went. Weeks went by, then months went by. I've been to the bank numerous times and to the rental office. What happened to my check I don't know. More than likely I may have spent any additional money on bills are food. I'm very good at math, and I watch every penny I spend. More than likely I may have spent it, on my one cat who is sick, and he needed medication. The money is not there. I was given copies from the office that reflects that I did pay my rent. I own my own mobile home, but I rent the land it sits on. Now I've been given a notice that I can be evicted. I did tell them I wouldn't mind paying but I could only make payments. I was told they would not accept partial payments. Plus they want $30 for late charges. This adds up to 635.40. and they want next month, they want $635.06 Plus $422.88 for the taxes. In a mobile home park if you don't own the land you have to pay taxes on the land You Don't own. Personally I don't have that money. I spend a lot of time on the phone contacting charities and looking for help. At this time, no one seems to have any money. This is very difficult for me to do. I truly dislike being in this position. I've gone as far as even contacting my congressman, and I even called the White House. I also called Sun Homes, which owns the property my mobile home sits on, to speak to someone. I did speak to someone, and she told me that she would pass the message on. No one got back to me. Right now I'm a nervous wreck. I don't want to lose my home. It's not much but it's mine. Basically this is my last resort. I don't know where else to go. Any help I get would be greatly appreciated. This is all new to me. All I'm doing is praying now. I don't know what else to do.
